Meet Thomas A. Morrone
Thomas A. Morrone is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney who has tried more than 60 civil jury trials in Bergen, Hudson, Essex and Passaic counties. He concentrates his practice in personal injury defense litigation and public entity liability defense, including auto negligence and homeowners liability claims. Licensed to practice in both the state and federal district courts in New Jersey, Tom has also argued before the New Jersey Appellate Division and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
Tom has successfully defended personal injury claims in which plaintiffs have undergone surgical procedures allegedly as a result of the subject accident. He has successfully defended cases involving complex liability issues, working closely with accident reconstruction experts and biomechanical engineers. Tom has also obtained favorable verdicts in auto negligence cases, even when the limitation on lawsuit threshold requirements did not apply to the injured party.
Tom is the Co-Chair of Public Entity section for New Jersey Defense Association and a member of the Hudson Civil Practice Committee. In 2017, Tom was recognized as Civil Practitioner of the Year for Hudson County.
Tom served as law clerk to Hon. Richard F. Connors, Superior Court, Law Division, Hudson County Vicinage. Prior to joining Chasan Lamparello Mallon & Cappuzzo, PC in April of 2002, Tom practiced medical malpractice defense in Ocean County.
