Michael Kayal is a civil litigation attorney focusing his practice on governmental and education law.
Prior to rejoining the Firm, Michael served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Jane L. Weiner, J.S.C. (Hudson Vicinage), and previously worked with the Firm, where he assisted with matters involving public entity defense, employment and labor law, insurance defense, education law, tenant advocacy, land use, and tax appeals.
Michael earned his Juris Doctorate cum laude from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, where he was awarded a Merit Scholarship. During law school, he was actively involved in the Pace Immigration Law Society, International Law Society, Sports, Entertainment and Arts Law Society, and the Student Bar Association. He also completed internships with two boutique New Jersey law firms and with a former partner of the Firm, the Honorable Martha D. Lynes, J.S.C. (Ret.) (Hudson Vicinage).
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). While at TCNJ, he was a member of the Varsity Men’s Soccer Team, Athletes InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and Catholic Campus Ministry. He also co-founded TCNJ Lions Care, an organization of student-athletes dedicated to community service through service-based projects.
