Maria P. Vallejo Speaks Before State Agencies for AAPI Heritage Month

Maria P. Vallejo was tapped by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General (“NJ OAG”) and the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles (“NJ DMV”) to speak in back-to-back programs addressing issues faced by Asian American & Pacific Islanders (“AAPI”).

On May 22, 2024, Maria spoke on a panel focused on the topic of AAPI activism before the employees of the Department of Law and Public Safety (the State agency that the Office of the Attorney General oversees). The Department of Law is comprised of 20+divisions and more than 8,000 employees. The NJ DMV’s panel discussion took place on May 23, 2024 and focused on the topic of “Unite Our Vision to Promote Equality and Inclusion” for its 1,500 employees in the Trenton office and 1,700 employees in field offices. Both the NJ OAG and NJ DMV offered the programs in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month.
