Several CLMC Partners and Counsel will be moderating and speaking at the New Jersey State Bar Association's Mid-Year Meeting to be held November 4-11 at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand in Paris, France.

 

Maria P. Vallejo, current President of the Hudson County Bar Association, will be a speaker at “Leadership in the City of Light – A DEI Program for All” on November 6 at 8:30 a.m.  The panel will discuss diversity, equity and inclusion in New Jersey and Paris and how attorneys can effectuate change in these communities.

 

Also on November 6, Kenneth A. Porro will speak at “Renaissance – Redevelopment + Rebirth of Dead Shopping Centers” at 8:30 a.m.  Ken will give a presentation on vesting property rights via zoning and reviewing recent Tax Court and Superior Court opinions with respect to property valuation.

 

Ralph J. Lamparello, past President of the New Jersey State Bar Association (2013-2014), will be the moderator and Hon. Peter F. Bariso, Jr., former Assignment Judge of Hudson Vicinage, will be a speaker at “Americans in Paris: The Influence of French Law and Culture” on November 6 at 10:00 a.m.  They will be joined by Hon. Chief Justice James R. Zazzali (Ret.), former CLMC Partner Hon. Julien X. Neals of the US District Court for the District of NJ, Newark, and Angela C. Scheck, NJSBA Executive Director. The distinguished panel will discuss the influences and cross-pollination of political and legal theories between France and the United States throughout history.
