Robert M. Czech draws on his extensive experience in government and his broad knowledge of labor and employment law to assist public entities in litigation.

In 2010, Robert was appointed by Governor Christopher J. Christie as the Chair/Chief Executive Officer of the State of New Jersey Civil Service Commission. As Civil Service Commissioner, he oversaw the rules and appeals system governing the employment of all State, county, and municipal civil service personnel in New Jersey. Bob's achievements during his tenure include the removal of unnecessary government titles, development of an online application for public service employment, improvements to employee training, and streamlining of employment regulations. In 2018, Robert re-joined Chasan Lamparello Mallon & Cappuzzo, PC as Counsel.

From 2007 to 2010, Robert assisted the Firm in our representation of various public entities in labor and employment matters as Of Counsel, and oversaw the daily operations of Monmouth County as the County Administrator. Prior to joining the Firm, he also served as the executive officer of Middletown Township, deputy budget director of the City of Jersey City, Passaic business administrator, as well as project specialist with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs charged with conducting audits and fiscal reviews of, among others, Camden, Atlantic City, Hoboken and Elizabeth.
