A skilled and respected insurance defense litigator, Robert A. Cappuzzo plays an active role as a member of the Forthright Advisory Council for No-Fault Disputes in the State of New Jersey.  In that capacity, Rob is involved in revising arbitration rules and the selection and review of dispute resolution professionals who preside over no-fault personal injury protection (PIP).  As a litigator in the PIP arbitration arena, Rob has nearly double the industry average in no-cause arbitration wins to his credit. Rob joined Chasan Lamparello Mallon & Cappuzzo, PC, in 1996 and became a principal in January 2003. Today, he chairs the Firm’s PIP department.

Rob concentrates his practice on insurance defense in PIP, liability and coverage matters.  His impressive client list includes Allstate, New Jersey Manufacturers, MetLife and Encompass insurance companies.

Rob regularly shares his wealth of legal insight — garnered from more than 18 years of practice specializing in the defense of PIP actions—with clients, through in-house training sessions focusing on claim handling and defense strategies.  He is also a lecturer for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the New Jersey Defense Association, the Insurance Council of New Jersey and the New Jersey State Bar Association.  As a lecturer, Rob has been called upon to educate his peers in all areas of PIP defense practice.  Rob served as Chair of the New Jersey Defense Association’s (NJDA) Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Committee from 2014 to 2016.
