Philip W. Lamparello is a business litigator with experience in a range of complex commercial matters.  Capitalizing on his prior experience in real estate development, Phil’s practice is focused on real estate, land use, development, and construction.  On the construction side, he has counseled clients on transactional matters as well as litigation disputes involving terminations, liens, surety bonds, extra work claims, defective work claims, scheduling and delays.  He has been the lead attorney in obtaining approvals for several large development projects in northern New Jersey, which he has handled from initial proceedings before local boards to appeals before the Appellate Division.

Phil has actively managed matters involving public bidding, municipal and local government law, commercial lease litigation, shareholder and limited liability company litigation, business torts, breach of fiduciary duty actions, malpractice/professional liability litigation, employment actions, commercial receiverships and internal investigations.  He has substantial experience in emergent and expedited proceedings involving injunctive relief.  He serves as local counsel in various multi-party litigations in state and federal court.  Phil has also counseled clients in state and municipal criminal proceedings.

In addition to his private client practice, Phil represents, and has represented, numerous public entities.  He presently serves as General Counsel to one of the largest fire departments in the state, North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue.

Philip is a Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Hudson County Bar Association, and a board member of the Union County Bar Association.  In 2023, the New Jersey Law Journal named him to its “New Leaders of the Bar” list.  Formerly known as “40 Under 40”, the list identifies a select group of distinguished young attorneys for their outstanding career achievements, and for their contribution to the legal community through their leadership in bar and other activities, lectures and publications.

Prior to working at CLMC, Phil worked at two Am Law 200 New Jersey based law firms.  Following law school, Phil clerked for former Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, Roberto A. Rivera-Soto, J.S.C. (ret.).  He earned his juris doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
