JOSEPH A. RUTIGLIANO
Joseph A. Rutigliano's practice focuses on complex civil litigation, governmental, school, labor and employment law, representing individuals, municipalities, counties, authorities, and school boards in various litigation and compliance matters. Joseph also has experience in insurance defense litigation and represents the firm’s public entity clients in matters involving the New Jersey Tort Claims Act (Title 59), Tax Appeal matters, and Bail Forfeiture matters.
Joseph graduated Weehawken High School and earned his bachelor’s degree at Jersey City State College. He attended New York Law School and received his Juris Doctor in June of 2001. Joseph served as law clerk to the Honorable John A. Conte, J.S.C. in the Criminal Division of the Bergen County Superior Court..
After finishing his clerkship Joseph spent three years defending drivers in lawsuits brought as a result of automobile accidents, as well as managing the New Jersey state subrogation department of a major national automobile insurer.
Joseph handles matters for North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue, the Township of North Bergen, the Borough of North Arlington, the County of Bergen, and the County of Hudson, as well as for several other municipalities and numerous private clients.
Joseph has been a member of the Weehawken Township Rent Leveling Board since 2003, is an alumni member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International and has been sworn in as a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.
