STEVEN
L. MENAKER
Steven Menaker practices in the areas of civil (general negligence, medical and legal malpractice, construction and commercial claims) and criminal litigation before the State and Federal Courts. He is designated by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and as a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney.
In his thirty years of practice before joining Chasan Leyner & Lamparello in 2001, Steven served as Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Kings County, New York (Deputy Chief - Investigations Bureau, Deputy Chief - Criminal Courts Bureau) and in private practice in Jersey City.
Steven served on the New Jersey District VI Ethics Committee as Chair and Vice Chair and has been appointed to serve as a Special Ethics Master by the Office of Attorney Ethics. He also consults with and represents attorneys in ethical and disciplinary proceedings.
Steven was recently appointed to the Ethics Diversionary Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and as a lecturer on the committee's Seminar Panel. He also serves on the Committee on Professionalism of the Hudson County Bar Association. He is a member of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey and a Master of the Hudson Inn of Court.
