Herb has extensive experience in governmental law and has been Corporation Counsel to the Township of North Bergen from 1985 to the present time. He has served as General Counsel to the West New York Library Board from 1996 to the present time and has served as Board Counsel to the Union City Board of Education from 2000 to 2007. His knowledge is also broad in the areas of real estate transactional matters and estate law.
Herb Klitzner received his BA from Rutgers University in 1966. Upon his graduation from Rutgers, he served our country in the United States Army. After his discharge from the army, he entered Boston University School of Law where he received his JD with honors in 1972.
Herb was in private practice since 1972 and was a sole practitioner from June of 1982 until becoming “Of Counsel” to Chasan Leyner & Lamparello, PC in February of 1996.
