Thomas A. Morrone is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney who has tried nearly 40 civil jury trials in Bergen, Hudson, Essex and Passaic counties.  He concentrates his practice in personal injury defense litigation and public entity liability defense, including auto negligence and homeowners liability claims.  Licensed to practice in both the state and federal district courts in New Jersey, Tom has also argued before the New Jersey Appellate Division.

Tom has successfully defended personal injury claims in which plaintiffs have undergone surgical procedures allegedly as a result of the subject accident.  He has successfully defended cases involving complex liability issues, working closely with accident reconstruction experts and biomechanical engineers.  Tom has also obtained favorable verdicts in auto negligence cases, even when the limitation on lawsuit threshold requirements did not apply to the injured party.

Tom was named to the New Jersey Law Journal’s prestigious “40 under 40” list.  The list identifies a select group of distinguished young attorneys based on their outstanding career achievements, and for their contribution to the legal community through their leadership in bar and other activities, lectures and publications.  In addition, New Jersey Monthly Magazine recognized Tom as one of its Rising Stars® several years in a row.  Rising Stars are nominated for the honor by the magazine’s Super Lawyers®, the top five percent of attorneys in the state.  In 2017, Tom was recognized as Civil Practitioner of the Year for Hudson County.

Tom and his wife are the proud parents of three boys who they are raising to be bilingual.  Tom is very active in teaching them soccer and swimming.

Tom served as law clerk to Hon. Richard F. Connors, Superior Court, Law Division, Hudson County Vicinage.  Prior to joining the firm in April of 2002, Tom practiced medical malpractice defense in Ocean County.
