Ryan J. Gaffney is a civil litigation attorney practicing in the areas of insurance defense and coverage and civil litigation, representing insurance companies and their clients in tort-based liability matters.

Prior to joining Chasan Lamparello Mallon & Cappuzzo, PC, Ryan served as an Assistant Prosecutor for the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, where he prosecuted hundreds of criminal complaints, including homicides, serial robberies, wiretaps, and complex financial crimes. Ryan also served as the first Law Clerk to the Honorable Nesle A. Rodriguez, J.S.C., after her appointment to the New Jersey Superior Court.

In 2008, Ryan was awarded a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas at Tyler. While there he served separate terms for both a Congressman and a United States Senator.  Ryan received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 2011, where he was a Senior Staff Member for the Federal Circuit Bar Journal and a Legal Fellow for the Small Business Clinic.

An active member of the legal community, Ryan has been a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division Executive Committee since Fall 2016 and the Hudson County Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division Executive Committee since Fall 2015.
