Reka  Bala

Reka is a civil litigation attorney, focusing her practice on governmental entity representation and appellate law.  She joined the firm following a clerkship with Hon. Carmen Messano in the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. 

While in law school, Reka was a New York City Bar Diversity Fellow, and served as a summer associate with Citigroup and Conway, Farrell, Curtin & Kelly, P.C., both in New York City.  She also interned with the Innocence Project in New Orleans, and represented parties in Article 81 proceedings through a clinical program in elder law.

Prior to practicing law, Reka worked as a journalist for nearly six years, writing for newspapers and newswires in New York and New Jersey on business, municipal and criminal matters.
