Maria P. Vallejo

Maria is a civil litigation attorney, focusing her practice in appellate and governmental entity representation.  She also has experience in commercial, estate, probate, and matrimonial matters, and has received a court appointment to be counsel for an alleged incapacitated person.

Maria joined Chasan Leyner & Lamparello, PC, as a law clerk in 2006, and returned to the firm following a clerkship with Hon. Peter F. Bariso Jr., Superior Court, Hudson County Vicinage.  She presently is the President of the Hudson County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Division.

Prior to practicing law, Maria worked as a journalist for nearly 10 years.  Most recently, she was an editor for a worldwide financial news organization.
