Herbert  Klitzner

Experience

Herb draws on his extensive experience in governmental law and his broad knowledge of real estate transactional matters and estate law to provide solid legal guidance that has earned him considerable longevity with many of his clients.  He has served as corporation counsel to the township of North Bergen since 1985, and as general counsel to the West New York Library Board since 1996.  Herb has also served as general counsel for the Union City Board of Education.

Choosing to serve his country after earning a B.A. from Rutgers University in 1966, Herb turned his attention to law following his honorable discharge from the United States Army, and graduated with honors from Boston University School of Law in 1972.  He was in private practice as a sole practitioner before becoming of counsel to Chasan Leyner & Lamparello, PC, in 1996.
