Maria P. Vallejo Recognized as Diverse Attorney of the Year by New Jersey Law Journal

Chasan Lamparello Mallon & Cappuzzo, PC is pleased to announce that Partner Maria P. Vallejo has been named a Diverse Attorney of the Year by the New Jersey Law Journal.  The list recognizes attorneys who have made an impact on their organization and on the profession as a whole.  Her efforts over the past two years more than qualify her for this honor:  She has mentored associates at CLMC and served on the board of the Hudson County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy; championed the importance of diversity in the law through leadership in the New Jersey State Bar Association as Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee and as a trustee of the Women in the Profession Committee; and been elected a director of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey.

"If you want to impact the profession, you need to be fearless. At some point in our careers, we all are scared, intimidated and nervous. To make a change, you must overcome your trepidations and put yourself in uncomfortable situations, which is where you will grow to be a better attorney and person. However, as you succeed, remember that your greatest impact will come from guiding others to follow in your path."
