New Jersey Supreme Court Appoints Maria P. Vallejo as Secretary for District VI Ethics Committee

On June 1, 2018, the New Jersey Supreme Court appointed Maria P. Vallejo to serve as its Secretary for the District VI Ethics Committee. In that role, she is responsible for reviewing all grievances submitted against attorneys practicing in District VI (Hudson County) and, when appropriate, docketing those investigations. She acts as the liaison for the public, officers, members and the Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics. Maria becomes one of only 17 District Ethics Secretaries in the State. 

At the time of her appointment, Maria was in her second four-year term on the Committee and serving as the Vice Chair of the District VI Ethics Committee, overseeing the filing of ethics complaints, supervising the status of hearings and engaging in the active recruitment of members to the Committee.
