The New Jersey State Bar Association announced that Cheyne R. Scott is one of ten attorneys statewide selected as a 2016-2017 Leadership Academy Fellow. The New Jersey State Bar Association created the Leadership Academy in 2015 to prepare the next generation of Bar leaders through the study of ethical, professional and public services issues. The Fellows consist of a diverse group of attorneys from across the state, practicing in all areas of the legal profession. Ms. Scott is excited to participate in the Leadership Academy:
“The practice of law can be a stressful and overwhelming, especially for young lawyers. One thing that helps reduce that stress is knowing that there is a community of lawyers who have been in the same place and have dealt with the stress, found success, and elevated themselves to leadership positions within the practice as well as used these leadership positions to benefit not only their own legal practice but to benefit the legal community as a whole. I want to learn from this group of leaders so that I can become one of them and later help others to navigate this profession within the context of this community."
